The Art of Candles
Here at Charis & Co we have embraced the art of making beautiful candles for you. Please read below to know the art of lighting and enjoying the most of your Charis & Co soy candles
When lighting your candle for the first time, and each time thereafter, allow the wax to melt all the way out to the diameter of it’s container. Once the melted wax reaches the glass, allow it to melt until 1/4” deep. This is called a melt pool. If your candle is extinguished prior to allowing a full melt pool, all future melt pools will not go past the first one.
We recommend lighting your candles with long matches as to protect your fingers and if any black soot residue happens just wipe with a paper towel before the next use.
The wicks are cotton and are prone to mushrooming when lit-this is normal and highly recommended to trim your wicks between uses to 1/4"
Don't allow your candle to fully burn to the bottom. We recommend that once there is about 1/4" to 1/2" of soy wax remaining, that you scoop it into your melts warmer and wash out the glass vessel with hot soapy water and upcycle the jar.
