Celebrate Autumn aesthetics

Celebrate Autumn aesthetics

August 2023 Here in New Zealand we are in the heart of Autumn already, the leaves are starting fall and it's been a time of harvesting and preserving. We start turning in more (much like planting of seeds or bulbs) as the days get shorter with the Autumn equinox upon us.
I personally LOVE this time of the year, it's not too hot nor cold and the sunsets are spectacular.
This is a time for more cosyness and I am writing this to set the mood so to speak.
Scents are notes of harvesting-warmer vanillas, apples, pumpkins and bright citruses like grapefruit, lemons and oranges.
In the Southern Hemisphere we also celebrate Easter with chocolate scents.
In May we celebrate Mothers day and as always I put together a special selection for Mum. This celebrates Mums from ALL walks of life-animal mums, plant mums, Goddess Mums or any woman who has made a Motherly impact in your life! Celebrate her love. Celebrate her in memory.
To me Autumn is about nourishment and preparing for the cooler months ahead. Nourishing mind, body and spirit, eating what is in season, slower movements of the body, listening to your intuition more.
As a habit I winterise the home, much like a Spring cleanse but for Winter, checking/airing linen, repairs needed, lighting, candles of course with their beautiful soft glow can be inviting and add ambiance.
Self care and self awareness. We may choose to journal more, to plan ahead for Spring, much like planting seeds and spring bulbs, we need the inner work time to blossom again!
My picks for crystals during Autumn are Citrine, Peridot, Tigers Eye and Rose Quartz
Essential oils to diffuse: Sweet Orange, Cedarwood, Ylang Ylang and Lemon
Burning incense and or saging can be very cleansing too.
Whatever Autumn represents for you we hope it brings many blessings for you
If you have found inspiration from this and would like to shout me a cuppa you can that here
